In the above answer, Air China and China Southern might or might not be good options. Ignore China Airlines though as that is Taiwanese and not really Chinese, and does not fly in China but only from Taiwan. Also, DO NOT buy tickets on Orbitz or any other source in America (or outside of China for that matter) as they will always be more than tickets issued in country of departure (same everywhere in the world pretty much). There isn't much by way of private airlines in China or discount airlines or ticket places. Very different from America... I fly in China very often and the way to go about it is look at www.ctrip.com and check (Shanghai is spelled this way, and divide price by 8 to get idea of US$ price). There are different prices for tickets and cheaper ones go earlier of course. Usually it is good to buy a week or more in advance to save money, but the cheap ones may go earlier/later than that. If you want to buy from ctrip.com and you are in Xiamen or another major Chinese city you can call them and have them deliver. Honestly, I usually just use them as a reference point though to check price and schedule and then buy from one of the local travel agencies as availability and price will be the same. If the agengy tells you more they are full of you know what... One additional note - there are two major airports in Shanghai and you should check which one is more convenient for you to fly to as Shanghai is very big...

Nope. Dream on. If it were achieveable, and if I planned to fly -- like from Chicago to London -- i'd sign in for one type on the nearby community college, get the pupil identity, and use that to purchase air tickets, because the fee of the category must be plenty below even a 10% lower price for a lengthy-haul fee ticket. Heck, i'd signal in for a type i'd savour and doubtless even bypass to the stupid type. you do not imagine the airways ought to verify that out briefly order?

the distance maybe 1200km(a mile equal to 1.609 km). there are several ways you can take, water, air, rail or bus. the best way is by air and and several companies have the discount tickets. you can ask your hotel waiter or waitress.

hope you have a good vacation.

In China you can purchase tickets right at the airport (they don't fill up quite as bad as in the US). You can also search using orbitz: http://www.orbitz.com )
