Assuming you are looking for the kind of paper to write on, the best known paper in China is called 'Xuan Zhi.' 'Zhi' means paper and 'Xuan' refers to the city where it's first made. The Xuan Cheng city is located in Anhui province in eastern China, where many small paper makers in and around the province still make them by hand and sell them in the city. Jing county (泾县) of Anhui province is a good place to pay a visit to start with if you are interested in the manufacturing process. There are quite a few variations of Xuan paper that differs in weight, absorbency, whiteness, texture, etc. I don’t know how much information is available in English, but good luck.
