Mongolians and Mongols, Tibetans, Tajiks, Kazakhs and Chinese herd yaks as far north as Trans-Siberia and as far south as Nepal and Bhutan, as far west as Xinjiang and as far east as Qinghai or maybe even Beijing. Longhorn cattle is herded by Cowboys and in history, Native Americans as far south as Mexico City, as far north as Omaha Nebraska, as far west as Arizona and as far east as Tennessee or maybe even North Carolina. Longhorn cattle moo like any other cattle, while yaks instead of mooing, they oink or grunt almost like a "Hog" or a "Pig." Yes, indeed they both have horns, but Longhorn cattle has pointed horns, and yaks have beast-like curly horns, a slightly unusual form. Yaks have furrier hair with hyde underneath it, and Longhorns have rough skin like any other cow hyde. Yaks produce milk and meat, and Longhorns produce milk and meat also. So, with this all being said, this is my question. What is the difference between yak cattle and Longhorn cattle?
