I plan to visit beijing with my husband and 4 children, two of them are over 12 years old and the rest are below 12 yrs old. I need a tour package during stay in 3night/4days in Beijing. I am from Jakarta/Indonesia . The package is should excluded the ticket price, because I work for Cathay Pacific and my husband work for Garuda, means that we entitle to get a free ticket. The tour will be on June 2006.

If you've got plane tickets down, then traveling in Beijing all depends on how you want to live.

If you want to live the Kings/Queens - it'll cost you US prices because the 5 star hotels in Beijing are all US prices. (200-300 USD a night)

Tour packages are typically about 2500 RMB so about $310 US dollars would get you a great package including 3-4 star hotels, tickets to all the sites, pretty good food and a charter bus package. You'll see all the sites in Beijing - ie Great Wall (though I personally don't like the Beijing version of the Great Wall - if you really want to see the Great Wall go to Chengde) Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Yiheyuan, Peking University, Silk Street and what not.

3-4 star hotels typically speak English. 4 stars do for sure. With 3 star - speak slowly.

Being may be the capital of China and also its political, financial, and ethnic center and you've the opportunity to notice it now, look with hotelbye . Beijing is definitely one of the most visited cities in the world. Each year, millions of visitors arrive at Beijing to see the great mixture of old and new. Beijing is a city for all seasons. You can generally find something for you personally no matter what time you are in Beijing and whatever your passions are. It takes time to take pleasure from everything that Beijing Town is offering but absolutely you can't lose the opportunity to see Tiananmen Square. Situated in one's heart of Beijing, Tiananmen Square is your website for enormous parades and rallies and the largest square of this kind in the world.

My suggestions to travel in Beijing:

Day 1

Arrive at Beijing, and have a free day in the afternoon.

Day 2

Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven.

Day 3

Great Wall at Badaling(it takes one whole day to Simata,a part of original Great Wall, Badaling is crowded with tourists), Ming Tombs.

Day 4

Summer Palace in morning, free in the afternoon.

It's easy to arrange charter bus, restaurant, hotels and tour guide in Beijing.
