Can I use QQ in America?

I'm a US citizen, currently teaching in China. Next year, I'll be back in the States, but I want to keep in touch with my students. Does anyone know if QQ works in America? I can download it and register while I'm here, but I'm not sure if I can still access it in the States.

QQ is not blocked in the USA, unlike China, the USA does not have draconian internet censorship laws and allows its people an expression of freedom.



However, with QQ not being from an American company I can't say that your personal information, your emails and chats or other on-line actively will be kept safe as American companies by law are required to do so. It is well noted that Chinese based websites companies operating outside the USA have leaked details of their users resulting in thumped up charges in foreign courts.

Yes you can.



I live in China, and have QQ downloaded to my Mac. It works the same in the UK as in China when I go home.



Just go to www.imqq.com and download for free . Mac and Windows vary though, so make sure you select the right download.

QQ International version is available in three different languages- English, Japanese and French. You can register your QQ ID from anywhere in the world, download the appropriate client and use it. There is no restriction on using QQ in the US.



But you must be informed about the sad fact that all conversations on QQ are monitored by the Chinese government. If you have no issues regarding your privacy intrusion in that case there is no problem.

Even if the American company is monitoring your conversations,how the hell would you know?because you THINK they won't?OR because the law says so? the law also says you can't down movies from the internet.Naive Americans
